07/01/10 - GShock X Redman

Got a nice little package in the mail today courtesy of Trent, care of Casio. A limited edition GShock X REDMAN which is part of Casio’s new awesome line of GShock collabs.

An unrelenting red with a smooth glossy finish makes this AW591RED-4A a great combination of REDMAN’s intensity and classic G-Shock style aesthetic. From the Ana-Digi family of G-Shock watches, the REDMAN X G-Shock features neo-brite luminous analog hands as well as digital timer and date windows. The limited edition watch also features a custom REDMAN engraved back case.

As quoted by REDMAN himself “G-Shock is tough and durable, but still raw to the core. I wanted a model that I could wear on my wrist with confidence”,

Props again to Mr Ibe San, Fuji san, Nahoko and the rest of the Casio fam, especially Trent!

04/01/10 - Adidas Basketball: Garnett & Rose

Graphics to match the wordplay… Graphic-play?  Well here’s a vid from Adidas Basketball’s 2010 campaign of a much less intense duel between Kevin Garnett and Derrick Rose, discussing how each prefers to rock their sneaks.  The script is simple but the seamless transitions between graphics does the rest.

Do you remember?  last year’s 1st round NBA Playoffs series between Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls - 4 overtime games and 7 overtime periods in 7 games!  Boston advanced.

03/01/10 - Let’s RIDE IT OUT with The Vangarde

Here it is ladies and gentlemen, and fellow music lovers - The Vangarde’s first single back - Ride It Out.

This is the first release to ‘Geronimo’ off album number three Plan B, and is basically about ‘hanging in there’ and seeing things through when times get rough.  It’s something we’ve all experienced but we’re also just trying to have fun in the process.  Slamming straight into 2010 with this summer banger, the entire track oozes nothing but festival goodness with a ‘no worries’ attitude.

Artwork is below (Photo by George V), and you can purchase Ride It Out on iTunes.

So please support your local talent, and remember, listen with your heart.
