With the recent release of the Jordan VI (6) Black/Varsity Red, 2010 is set to be the year we finally get a retroed injection of the widely popular Jordan 6’s. I’ve piled together a mash of some of the Jordan 6’s you may have already seen together with ones to be released later this year!

Nike and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital united for the sixth year to create the Doernbecher Freestyle footwear collection where these 6’s were a part of.

My favourite, Black/Varsity Red’s.

If you haven’t been watching the news or reading the paper and living in your own little bubble of reality all this time you may not have heard that Haiti suffered a catastrophic earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 back on January 12. Haiti is located in the Caribbean and is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere which has struggled under decades of coups, corruption and natural disasters.

Haitian emergency services have been unable to cope in the event of the major disaster, and the country is considered “economically vulnerable” by the Food and Agriculture Organization.  The International Red Cross estimated that about three million people have been affected by the quake.

Countries all over the world have been flooding in with support and aid to the grief-stricken country. Coming from the lucky country, lets do our part people. Every little bit helps… So you might miss out on buying the latest sneakers, maybe a fresh tee or skip lunch for the day, just remember your small contribution is making a deep impact on someone’s life.

Even more reason to make sure you lock the Buffet trade show into your calendar.  Acclaim have just announced that legendary New York designer jeffstaple will also be in the lineup of international speakers that will feature at Buffet. Jeff Ng aka jeffstaple, the founder and owner of Staple Design, Staple Clothing and Reed Space, Jeff is a graphic, web and clothing designer, artist, DJ, writer and entrepreneur.

Once in a while opportunity comes knocking on your door, a chance to be apart of history. Street lifestyle magazine Acclaim in conjunction with Fashion Exposed will be giving Australia its first ever Streetwear Exhibition which will be held on February 26 - 28. The event will be serving up a kickass launch party, along with a series of discussion forums featuring International and Local guest speakers over the course of the event and other side events. This may be a defining moment for streetwear in Australia.
