Hype kills! With only 48 pairs of exclusive Air Yeezy’s available in the South East Asia Region, Espionage Sydney Australia, had only 31 pairs available which were drawn for the 120 registered customers. For those who missed out on a pair there was enough entertainment and drinks to keep the night crackin.
The Air Yeezy’s are what you get, when pop culture icon and lyrical ‘athlete’ Kanye West fuse creative juices with Nike’s Creative Dir. of Special projects Mark Parker. With the Air Yeezy in the blue corner and the Supra’s in the red… the title for the hottest kicks on the street was ON! The rest is history.

12/05/09 - Brisbane Air Yeezy Launch
W7: “So how did the Brisbane Yeezy launch go down?”
KG: “Bris turned out great, first guy started lining up at around 4pm on sunday or something crazy! and there was a kid with his mum who got her to line up for him! Then on top of that he won the raffle as well so he walked home with two sz 9 pairs of Yeezy’s, most of the heads were pretty pissed about it hey, but there wasn’t much anyone could do, so yeah. The turn out was pretty good for the event.”
With time to kill, how bout a little light reading…

11/05/09 - J5 ‘Defining Moments’
No I’m not talking about a new album from the disbanded hip hop group, though it’d be nice. Rather, I’m talking about the second installment of the Jordan ‘Defining Moments Pack’ (DMP). Dubbed the Raging Bull pack, it is also referred to as the Toro Bravo pack - the name given to the bulls bred for Spain’s annual Running of the Bulls and general bull fighting.
Following the DMP I’s early 2006 release, the 2009 sequel will consist of two pairs of 1990’s retro classic Air Jordan V. Known for its over-sized reflective tongue and clear (ice) outtersole, one of the two will shine with its black-based 3M reflective upper and black laces, while the accompanying pair, my personal favourite, is flamboyantly draped in Varsity Red suede (I love suede!) with red laces. This May release will definitely be a heavy-hitter succeeding the unforgettable onslaught of the Collezione Pack’s monthly drops which ended in Dec 08… The year my pockets cried.
Oh yeah, welcome to my first post.
Yours truly,
Bishop a.k.a. 9B… “Chess, not checkers”.

08/05/09 - The Ghostface KillaHHHHH!
AKA Ghost Deini AKA Tony Starks AKA Ironman is finally touring Australia for the first time, this June. Wu-Tang fans brace yourself this show is gonna be off the chains! Ghostface is no doubt one of the best storytellers in Hip Hop, meaning this show should be worth every cent, regardless if your a hip hop head or not.
For all those that slept on Tony, his resume is impressive, with seven solo albums including 1996’s solo “Ironman” featuring Reakwon and “Fishscale” voted by numerous hip hop magazines as the best album of 2006. He was also all over Raekwon’s “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx” a bona fide Classic. One of the more extroverted Wu members, his solo career has put him on a whole new level of Bling, but his lyrics have always grounded him to his gritty foundations coming up from the Slums of Shaolin. (Stapleton housing projects, Staten Island NYC)
Tickets are on sale now at OzTix. For all Melbourne cats check out Sneakerfreaker for a chance to win tickets.
