30/01/09 - HALFSLEEVE

Tonight we dropped by HALFSLEEVE for their opening party. For those of you who don’t know, HALFSLEEVE is a new premier store (thats just opened) down on 133 Goulburn Street in Surry Hills. A select cothing and lifestyle shop that (just to name a few) rocks 10Deep, Reason, Rocksmith Tokyo, Dissizit!, Another Inch, Foreign Family, Manhattan Portage, NY Hat Co, and one of our local boyz the Ol’Good. Expect more dope labels to come…

Desmon from Ol’Good providing some of the nights entertainment.

We didn’t come empty handed either. HALFSLEEVE here with a little care package from DS - limited edition box set tee.

Also for tonight’s event featured selected artworks by Julian Meagher (tallest guy in pic) and (one of my favourite artists) the one and only Nanami Cowdroy!

Julian had on display some fine intricate tattoo pieces and was also part of the first HALFSLEEVE Artist series tees (limited to 20) to drop which sold out instantly.

Nanami’s work will be exhibited in the US next week when she jets off to San Francisco to attend the ‘Some Kind of Wonderful’ Exhibition at Gallery 1988 - be sure to check it out if you’re in San Fran! check out her website for details.

Bishop here getting interviewed by Iantha about DS.

Iantha here getting interviewed by Bishop about her blog… check it out.

And the final verdict for HALFSLEEVE’s opening party…

28/01/09 - Yo Joe!

Since everything is being retroed, revamped, recycled, reused and re…membered, I’ve ‘got’ to be the one to blog about my fondest childhood memory… GI Joes. The live action feature film drops in August… but here’s a little something to tickle the senses.

01/01/09 - FightingWolves Productions

Who you gonna call? DS recently enlisted the help of FightingWolves Productions to help us bring what once was a inkling thought to reality. After countless sessions of trying to create perfection, concept after concept, re-designs, late nights, endless cracking of coke cans and pizzas in trying to create the right look we are pleased to bring you the latest mark of the DS website.

Much thanks to Luis at FightingWolves for working with us on the latest version of the website.
