The 2010 ‘Off the Grid’ Collection is a compilation of t-shirt designs formulated from uncharted and unsurveillanced realms of the Deep Surface imagination. The new range is equipped with colourful Anime inspired character designs, 80’s icons, a reminiscent outlook of schoolyard memories, WWII military influenced designs and photographic art.

No longer flying under the radar, the 2010 ‘Off the Grid’ Collection will be in full force showcasing at Buffet, the first ever Asia Pacific Streetwear Trade Show. Celebrating this landmark event Deep Surface is exclusively launching the first wave of tees available for purchase at the Buffet Trade Show together with Brisbane’s specialised sneaker/street culture boutique, Laced and Melbourne’s skateboarding and fashion store Hemley on the 26^th of February.

Yet another release from the Wu franchise. However this LP will be exclusively laced by Meth, Ghostface and Raekwon. Illustration by Chris Bachalo; and Art Direction and Graphic Design by Alex Haldi (trust me, you WANT to click those links). One of the dopest Wu covers since Liquid Swords (that’s arguable peeps). US release is March 30th.

The biggest film and fashion crossover is finally here! George Lucas’s ‘Star Wars’ which has grossed more than $4 billion in the past 3 decades, have teamed up with German athletic giant ‘Adidas’, to drop their Adidas Originals x Star Wars 2010 collection. This collection includes apparel and 20 sneakers inspired by characters, vehicles, and everything else that exists in the Star Wars universe. (which is endless!) Targeting high end boutiques and footlockers around the globe there will be something for everyone. And in true Lucasfilm tradition they’re gonna milk it for what it’s worth, with an a 2011 collection already blueprinted!

Graphics to match the wordplay… Graphic-play?  Well here’s a vid from Adidas Basketball’s 2010 campaign of a much less intense duel between Kevin Garnett and Derrick Rose, discussing how each prefers to rock their sneaks.  The script is simple but the seamless transitions between graphics does the rest.

Do you remember?  last year’s 1st round NBA Playoffs series between Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls - 4 overtime games and 7 overtime periods in 7 games!  Boston advanced.

Okay, I’ve just seen James Cameron’s newest movie Avatar in 3D and it was surprisingly okay. Definitely a movie worth watching especially in 3D, don’t wait for this to hit DVD… Might as well make it the last movie you watch on the big screen for 2009! But don’t expect a deep riveting story plot, the storyline is a little predictable and leads little to the imagination. But overall a enjoyable experience.
